VITAL STATISTICS

Sex: MALE

ID: BUDDY
Age: 3 years (approx.)

MY STORY

Buddy was rescued in 2018 as an adult entire (not desexed) male with injuries and a very severe flea allergy dermatitis, which responded well to a single course of steroids. His skin and coat are now in excellent condition as a result of regular grooming and flea treatment.

It is important that Buddy is placed with someone who has experience grooming long haired cats.

All of our cats are tested for feline aids and feline leukemia and Buddy was negative for both. He is now fully vaccinated including the feline aids vaccination. He had a dental in 2019.

Buddy is lively, affectionate and highly intelligent, with a big personality. He is dominant with other cats and needs to be placed in a single cat home. Placement with a family would be ideal because Buddy enjoys having company. He sits on a knee and is very playful (see video above).

Buddy is a bit shy when meeting someone for the first time, which is common with rescue cats, but is otherwise confident. He will benefit from one or two home visits before placement, which helps the cats to settle.
